Django / Python Web Applications

The Django web framework, powered by the Python programming language, brings content and data to the web in a cost effective, agile fashion.  With its emphasis on rapid development and standards compliant behaviors, Django is quickly becoming a lightweight alternative to heavy web environments.  Django's deployment patterns allow for high security, high scalability, and flexible reuse.

PSC Group is very active in the Python community.  Chris McAvoy, Open Source Practice Manager, founded the Chicago Python Users Group in 2003, and continues to work within the community to bring open source to the enterprise.  Below are slides from his presentation on Django on Jython, a way of deploying the Django web framework on a traditional Java servlet container like Tomcat or Websphere.
