Lotus Symphony Jumpstart
PSC is offering the "Lotus Symphony Jumpstart" and it covers two days of services.
We begin with an executive briefing on Lotus Symphony, including an executive presentation on Why Lotus Symphony and which covers Symphony’s considerable cost savings. The presentation provides an in-depth look at what is inside Symphony and addresses what user types can move easily to Lotus Symphony and who will need more powerful applications like Excel long term. The “Desktop of the Future” initiative from IBM, giving the user a Microsoft-free desktop utilizing Linux, Lotus Notes, and Lotus Symphony, is also discussed.
A developer presentation on Lotus Symphony, which includes LotusScript, Composite Applications, and Eclipse plug-ins is also conducted. The day ends with third-party integration options available with Lotus Symphony.
The second day is an analysis of how the customer is currently using Microsoft Office (and OpenOffice.org if that is appropriate). We also review how it is integrated into custom applications and applied to general usage. We do this so we can make specific comparisons between Symphony and Office, and deliver a suggested migration plan to Lotus Symphony along with the cutting-over custom applications.
